Phone Call By Inmate From Suffolk Violates Protection Order, Sheriff Says

An inmate already behind bars on Long Island is facing new charges after violating an order of protection that was issued earlier this year, the Suffolk County Sheriff announced.

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office announced that shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brentwood resident Dany Aguilarcuellar, 32, for violating an active 1st District Court order of protection.

It is alleged that Aguilarcuellar, who is currently an inmate at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Yaphank made a phone call to the petitioner, in violation of the order.

The Sheriff noted that Aguilarcuellar “was aware of the order of protection, having been served personally in court on (Wednesday), Nov. 20.

After being arrested, Aguilarcuellar was charged with second-degree criminal contempt for intentional disobedience.
